Practice for the Luxembourg citizenship test
367 questions with an explanation for every one, and a mock exam in the real format — 40 questions, 60 minutes, 28 correct to pass. Free, and it works without an account.
Take the mock exam
40 questions drawn the way the real paper is: 10 on rights, 20 on institutions, 10 on history and the EU. Timed.
Study first
The four documents, the two courts people mix up, the numbers to know cold, and the timeline — on one page.
Practise by topic
Untimed, one question at a time, with the explanation straight after. Your place is remembered.
What is in the bank
367 questions, each with the reasoning behind the right answer rather than just a tick. They are split the way the syllabus is:
- Institutions — 166 questions. The Chamber of Deputies, the Council of State, the communes, the professional chambers, who has to be consulted on what. Half the real exam comes from here.
- History and the EU — 119 questions. From Siegfried and the rock in 963 through 1839 and 1867 to the founding treaties and Schengen.
- Rights and duties — 82 questions. What the Constitution grants, what it requires, and which court hears what.
An example, in the format they are asked in: “Must professional chambers be consulted on legislation?” — yes, their opinion must be sought on any bill or grand-ducal regulation in their field. That last sentence is the part this site adds to every question.
